C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze Alloy Information Sheet
C63000 Nickel Aluminum Bronze Solid Bar and Rectangle / Plate. Our C63000 Solid Bar is per ASTM B150, ASME SB150, AMS 4640, QQ-C-465, and in stock. Our C63000 Bronze Rectangle / Plate is per ASTM B171, ASME SB171, and in stock. We carry a very large range of sizes and will cut the material to length per your requirements.
C63000 Aluminum Bronze is an extruded or forged Wrought Alloy that contains Nickel (nominal 5%). As an aluminum bronze, the C63000 alloy has excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion and displays exceptional strength and toughness as well. C63000 is typically used where higher mechanical properties are required.
CDA 630 nickel aluminum bronze alloy is used in equipment for marine applications, such as:
- valve stems
- high strength bushings
- valve guides and seats
- gears
- cams
- ship propellers
- as well as propeller nuts and shafts.
Nickel Aluminum Bronzes in general are most commonly used in water applications because of their
great resistance to corrosion in a
variety of water environments. C63000 material's chemical composition makes it preferable to other engineering materials.
C63000/CDA 360 is a special high-strength aluminum bronze used in applications involving heavy loads, friction, and abrasive wear and corrosion. The addition of nickel increases the alloy's strength without reducing its excellent ductility, toughness, and good wear resistance.
C63000 TYPICAL USES:
Some of the typical areas that C63000 material is used in are as follows: Valve Seats, Plunger Tips, Condenser Tubes for Power Stations and Desalting Units, Shafting, Pump Parts, Cams, Gears, Valve Guides, Aircraft Parts, Pump Shafts, Structural Members, Corrosion Resistant Articles, Hydraulic Bushings for Earth Moving Equipment, Valve Balls, Bushings, Bearings, Heat Exchanger Flanges, Heat Exchanger Headers, Tanks, Welded Piping Systems, and Balls.
